A gala evening of fabulous music accented by fine wines and scrumptious hors d'oeuvres followed by moving, original theatre

November 14, 2009 from 5 to 11 p.m.

Center for New Media and the Arts, 186 Greenwood Avenue, 2nd Floor, Bethel, Conn.

 

 

5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Doug Wahlberg Band, Split Decision, and acoustic guitarist Marc Huberman perform in the unique space, formerly home to P.T. Barnum's silent movie theatre and the historic
Bethel Opera House

8 p.m. to 11 p.m. The original play, "Waiting On The Sun," tells the story of a physically-disabled musician who meets a wheelchair-phobic dancer -- their universes collide. Written and directed by
Wayne J. Keeley of New Fairfield and produced by Stephanie C. Lyons of Danbury.
The one-and-a-half-hour performance is followed by a meet-and-greet and delectable desserts.

Be prepared to take home any of a wide variety of spectacular silent auction items!

Tickets for the entire evening: $65 ~ Gala only: $50 ~ Play only: $25

Shaw's Parking Lot, New Fairfield

Reserve your space now! Participants may attend for any portion of the day.

Resale space: $25; crafters and retailers: $45. Participants must provide their own tables, stands, racks, chairs, etc. Please inquire about prices for renting if needed. Call (203) 312-9804 for more information or to reserve space.

Concessions, baked goods and fun activities for the kids will be available.

All proceeds to benefit The Wyatt Foundation, a non-profit organization to assist children and their families who are affected by Duchenne and Becker Muscular Dystrophies as well as other chronic and terminal illness.

A gala evening of immersion into the arts accented by fine wines, scrumptious hors d’oeuvres and delectable desserts

Come hear the infectious sounds of the Doug Wahlberg Band; The acoustic guitar stylings of Marc Huberman; A performance by Tony Award-nominated, Astaire Award-winning Broadway dancer, Elizabeth Parkinson; and actor Samuel E. Wright, voice of Sebastian the crab of "The Little Mermaid" and Mufasa in Broadways "The Lion King."
